The Fine Timber Tasmania Chain of Custody System provides that assurance. It is a simple, yet rigorous system that covers all steps in the supply chain.
Including saw millers, manufacturers, designers, retailers and galleries, the Chain of Custody has the potential to positively impact all Tasmanians, and all who purchase Tasmanian fine timber products.
The Chain of Custody is a world first. Other custodial chains are in existence, but Tasmania is the first to apply the system to fine timbers.
Through engaging with initiatives like the Tasmanian Design Award, Fine Timber Tasmania is able to promote the Chain of Custody system in real world applications and reach a greater audience.
