2013 SMALL PRODUCT DESIGN AWARD

The ‘Small Product’ Award for 2012 will award the best ‘production ready’ design that ranks consistently across all of the selection criteria.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The selection criteria are based on current consumer demands and will assist in refining production.

• Material suitability, product lifecycle and functionality
• Waste and material minimisation
• Innovation in concept and production processes
• Wholesale below $50 (ex GST)
• Be designed and made in Tasmania

2013 - SMALL FURNITURE AWARD

This Award is aimed at developing new, predominantly timber-based furniture items for national and international markets. In order to be eligible to enter this prize the entry must meet the selection criteria.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The selection criteria are based on consumer demands, identified market opportunities and the efficiencies of shipping products via Australia Post.

• Shows a high level of innovation in addressing transportation requirements
• Material suitability, product lifecycle and functionality
• Maximum weight less than 20kg
• Maximum dimension must not exceed 105cm (when packed)
• Maximum girth 140cm (when packed)
• Wholesale below $350 (ex GST)
• Be designed and made in Tasmania

2013 ENTRIES CLOSE MONDAY OCTOBER 28 2013

• Entries must be recieved by 5.30 pm, Monday 28 October 2012 at the Design Tasmania Centre
• Entries are not limited to one per person, company or group of persons. Entry forms must accompany each entry.
• At least two examples of your finished product must be submitted.
